Impressions of the Book Presentation

At the beginning of March, two new editions of the book “The Renaissance of the Family” were published in German (2nd edition) and in English (1st edition).

We have presented the book – in accordance with the requirements – in German and English.

Due to illness, some corrections had to be made to the program. We are therefore very grateful that the authors Pia Brand and Sibylle Patriarca were able to step in at short notice for the sick authors.

The moderation was taken over by Bernadette Rack. She interviewed Julia Finkeissen in presence format. All other authors were “brought into the room” via Zoom and interviewed online.

In a 15-minute interval, all 8 authors were able to present their statements. The participants were very impressed by the dynamic format and the content of the statements. They found it enriching that so many points of view and opinions could be expressed in such a short time.

Julia Finkeissen spoke about the conciliation of family and work during her studies at the University. Pia Brand spoke about the skills in the use of social media tools. Sibylle is an expert in accompanying families after losing one member. The topic of Madeleine Wallin was the relevance of motherhood for society. The positive impact of the families for society was also highlighted by Matteo Rizzolli. Belinda Brown spoke about the Role of the Fathers in the family. We closed the session with the Family Aponte, Carlos and Carolina, who spoke about their concept for conciliation of family in Colombia and Work in the US.

Participants in the event were able to purchase books and have them signed by the authors present. We would like to thank Peter Brittain for his support in selling the book and Bernhard Scheuvens for taking pictures.
